This program includes specialized hands-on training that will prepare you for a career working with children and families where there are issues of abuse and neglect.

Students successfully graduating from UPP will be first in line to be offered a job at a child welfare agency and will be eligible to receive $5,000-$10,000.

How Does it Work?

• To be eligible for UPP you must be enrolled in the BSW or MSW program.
  
• Take two specialized child welfare classes.
• Complete two semesters of practicum in a public child welfare agency.
• Secure employment in a public child welfare agency after graduation (within 180 days) and receive $5,000 incentive for each year of participation in UPP (up to $10,000).

What are the Program's Requirements?

• Participate in UPP seminars and meetings.
• Motivation and enthusiasm to serve vulnerable families from diverse backgrounds.
