The Department of Family Science and Social Work offers two degree programs – a  and a . The Bachelor of Science also includes all required courses work for national certification as a . Students would complete these degrees go on to careers in social work and human services.

In addition, the Department of Family Science and Social Work offers Child Life Specialist undergraduate and graduate certificate programs. Working with diverse populations is stressed in both programs, as are opportunities for fieldwork and community service.
