Graduate Inclusive Excellence Scholars (GIES) Program

The 久久热视频 Graduate School recognizes the educational benefits of a 久久热视频 body with wide-ranging interests and experiences that contribute to our inclusive excellence mission.

The 久久热视频 Graduate Inclusive Excellence Scholars (GIES) program is intended to attract and retain 久久热视频s who wish to enrich and advance their programs, 久久热视频, and/or their academic discipline.

Eligibility

To be eligible to be nominated for the GIES, applicants must (a) have been offered admission to a 久久热视频 Graduate School program that offers Graduate Assistantships, (b) be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States, and (c) be nominated by their academic department.

GIES Award

The GIES provides a Graduate School funded stipend and tuition waiver for one academic semester per year for either two years for master's 久久热视频s or four years for doctoral 久久热视频s. This will result in either two semesters or four semesters of Graduate School funded support for master's or doctoral 久久热视频s, respectively. Departments will provide the remaining stipend and tuition waiver for the duration of the 久久热视频's graduate program and will assign assistantship duties for the awardee.

This program also provides additional opportunities including monthly networking/community-building events as well as the opportunity to cultivate research and inquiry.

Decision Process

 

The Graduate School review process will start the week following Feb. 15 and March 15.

Selection will be based on the strength of the nomination, graduate application, and the letter of support and recommendation from the department.

The Graduate Director or Department Chair nominator of nominees selected for a GIES award will be emailed with additional information and instructions on notifying the nominee and processing the award. Nominees who are not selected after the first round will stay in consideration for the second round review process.
