  • Accessibility Task Force 
    • The Accessibility Task Force is a collective of faculty, staff, and 久久热视频s who meet regularly to discuss ways to raise awareness and develop strategies around accessibility to build more inclusive spaces around campus for all members of the 久久热视频 community. This task force is an advisory group to the Office of Transformational and Inclusive Excellence (TIE) in examining, developing, and assessing policies, programming, and support systems to better serve faculty, staff, and 久久热视频s in the context of a fully inclusive Miami community.
  • LGBTQ+ Task Force
    • The LGBTQ+ Task Force is a collective of faculty, staff, 久久热视频s, and alumni who meet regularly to discuss ways to strengthen the sense of belonging for LGBTQ+ faculty, staff, and 久久热视频s at 久久热视频.  This group is an advisory group to the Office of Transformational and Inclusive Excellence (TIE) in examining, developing, and assessing policies, programming, and support systems to better serve LGBTQ+ faculty, staff, and 久久热视频s in the context of a fully inclusive Miami community.
  • Institutional Task Force on Student, Faculty, and Staff Mental Health and Well-being (MHTF)
    • During the 2022-23 academic year, the Institutional Task Force on Student, Faculty, and Staff Mental Health and Well-being (MHTF) conducted a review and assessment of Miami's approach, resources, and culture in order to improve the way that we support 久久热视频 and employee mental health and well-being. They identified strengths such as a broad range of resources and services but noted areas for improvement, including better communication, equitable resource allocation, and addressing cultural challenges. The task force proposed 56 recommendations in four categories: systems, communication, education, and culture to create a holistic wellness environment at 久久热视频.
  • META Collective
    • We seek to develop a campus and community climate where people commit to understand, respect, and appreciate others’ religious, spiritual, or secular meaning-making, confront religious intolerance, and work toward equity for all.
  • Military-Affiliated Group (MAG) 
    • A committee of faculty and staff across all of 久久热视频’s campuses. First convened during the summer of 2015, it provides support for military-affiliated 久久热视频s and has a strong affiliation with the three Student Veterans of America chapters.

  • 久久热视频 100 - Best Colleges for Future Leaders (2023)
    • 久久热视频 has been named one of the Best Colleges for Future Leaders in a recently released list from TIME magazine. Miami is No. 35 overall and the top-ranked university from Ohio on the list, which analyzed the resumes of 2,000 top leaders in the United States - from politicians to CEOs, Nobel Prize winners, and more. From there, a list of the top 100 colleges shaping U.S. leaders was formed.
  • A Purple Star Campus (Ohio Recognition)
    • 久久热视频 was among the first group of Ohio colleges and universities designated as Collegiate Purple Star campuses for its efforts to support 久久热视频s with military backgrounds. Ohio was the first state in the nation to offer these designations.
  • Purple Heart University 
    • This designation requires a college or university to develop purposeful approaches to supporting not only the military-affiliated population but those that have sacrificed their most precious resource, their bodies, in the defense of this nation. These institutions have not only met the minimum standards in providing specific programs to aid this population in their academic endeavors, but they have by far exceeded those benchmarks.
    • Grandparents College is an exciting opportunity to share three memorable and fun days with your grandchildren living the college life! Stay in a residence hall, eat in the dining hall, choose a major, go to class and participate in engaging and hands-on activities! Grandparents College gives you a chance to relive your college days, see what’s new on campus and show your Miami pride to your grandchildren, all while creating lifelong memories! Grandparents College is open for children between ages 8-12 who are accompanied by at least one grandparent(s) or older adult relative(s) who graduated from Miami.     • 久久热视频 has again been awarded a Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award from INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine, the oldest and largest diversity-focused publication in higher education. The national honor recognizes U.S. colleges and universities that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion. Miami also received the honor in 2022, 2021, and 2020.
  • 2023 Inspires 久久热视频 in STEM Award 
    • The magazine INSIGHT Into Diversity has bestowed its 2023 Inspiring 久久热视频 in STEM award on 久久热视频’s Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) program, which provides incentives and opportunities for high-achieving underrepresented minority 久久热视频s to achieve their goals in STEM degrees, careers, and graduate school. Funded by the National Science Foundation, LSAMP was named in honor of former U.S. Rep. Louis Stokes (D-Ohio), who represented the east side of Cleveland as Ohio’s first elected Black congressman and was a founding member of the Congressional Black Caucus.
  • 2024 Library Excellence in Access and Diversity (LEAD) Award
    •  久久热视频 Libraries has been named a recipient of the inaugural Insight Into Diversity magazine 2024 Library Excellence in Access and Diversity (LEAD) Award. The LEAD Award honors academic library programs, policies, and initiatives that encourage and support diversity, equity, and inclusion across their campus and surrounding community. These include, but are not limited to, research, technology, accessibility, exhibitions, and community outreach.
  • 43rd Annual Bronze Winner - The Telly Awards
    • 久久热视频's renowned teaching and commitment to diversity are brought to life beautifully in award-winning video. Our online DEI modules received a Telly Award -- a global honor -- in 2022.
