Students who major in Computer and Information Technology (CIT) at Miami will follow a technically intense program that prepares them for positions in the computing field as programmers, network administrators, computer support personnel and other similar jobs.
Students who major in Information Technology (IT) will build a unique IT pathway based on their ultimate career goals and/or plans for graduate studies. IT graduates may work in database administration, data analysis, data centers, IT infrastructure support, network administration, software support, and systems administration.
