Program Objectives

  1. Prepare professionals in education fields to design, develop, and integrate inclusive educational media, methods, and systems based on data-driven research in behavioral psychology, cognitive psychology, learning theories, constructivist, and critical/cultural theoretical perspectives of teaching and learning. 
  2. Prepare professionals in education fields to design, develop, and evaluate inclusive instructional media, materials, methods, and systems which integrate various types of technology and technology media for teaching and learning.
  3. Prepare professionals in education fields to provide leadership in the use of technologies for learning in a wide range of educational fields.

Student Learning Outcomes

  • Students will evaluate instructional media, materials, and methods for use in a variety of learning environments.
  • Students will evaluate theories of human learning and apply them to technologies in formal and informal learning environments.
  • Students will utilize evaluation and research methods to inform and address a problem of practice in their professional field.
  • Students will design and create digital learning materials for technology-based delivery.
