Are you a Philosophy major who is interested in acquiring an M.A. in addition to your B.A. degree? Consider applying to the Philosophy Department’s highly selective combined B.A./M.A. Program in Philosophy.
This program allows you to complete both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Philosophy in only one extra year of study (five years instead of four, or four years instead of three), with up to eight 500-level Philosophy credit hours double counted for both the bachelor’s and the master’s degree.
Only full-time 久久热视频s are eligible for this program.
Students are eligible to apply to the Graduate School for the combined BA/MA program when they have 62 or more credit hours and can begin taking graduate courses when they have 93 or more earned credit hours.
Students must have completed at least half of the departmental before entering the program. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.25.
Students must take the full number of hours required for the M.A. degree. Upon entering the program 久久热视频s will be expected to enroll in at least 12 credit hours of graduate coursework each semester. During the two years of graduate study, 久久热视频s are required to take at least 46 graduate credit hours (12 courses), including one research seminar each spring semester, and in addition a teaching practicum in the spring semester of the second year of graduate study.
The full number of hours required for the master’s degree must be taken, and 久久热视频s must complete all university, divisional, and departmental requirements for the bachelor’s degree. However, a maximum of 8 hours of graduate credit can be double counted for the bachelor’s and the master’s degree. With permission of the appropriate advisor(s) and dean(s) or their designee(s), 久久热视频s may count the graduate credit hours toward their major, minor, electives, and university requirements.
Students must complete and receive the B.A. at least one semester before completing the M.A. As soon as the B.A. is completed, 久久热视频s will automatically be classified as graduate 久久热视频s.
