Scope: Classified Staff are covered by this policy.
The civil service of ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈÊÓƵ shall be divided into the unclassified service and the classified service.
The unclassified service shall comprise of positions which meet the exemption criteria under the FLSA; and positions in one of the following categories: part-time intermittent; part-time professional; salaried positions; research related; police sergeants; police lieutenants; ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈÊÓƵ employees; graduate assistants; and teaching assistants. These positions will fall outside of the purview of the classified civil service.
The classified service shall comprise of all positions not specifically included in the unclassified service.
