Open forums for EHS dean finalists this month

Three finalists have been named in the search for a dean of the College of Education, Health, and Society (EHS). Open forums are scheduled for each candidate this month in King Library and McGuffey Hall.

Amity Noltemeyer

  • Oct. 14, 4-5 p.m., 134 King Library
  • Oct. 15, 9-10 a.m., 322 McGuffey Hall
Amity Noltemeyer began her career at 久久热视频 in 2010 as faculty in the Department of Educational Psychology. She has held several leadership positions at Miami, including associate dean of the Graduate School, chair of the Department of Educational Psychology, and coordinator of the School Psychology program. Noltemeyer currently serves as interim dean of EHS, providing strategic vision and leadership for a community of around 3,000 久久热视频s and 180 faculty and staff. Noltemeyer has also served as a practicing school psychologist, president of the Ohio School Psychologists Association, and editor-in-chief of School Psychology International.

Renae Swanson

Renae Swanson is the interim dean of the College of Education and Human Services at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, where she provides strategic leadership across five departments, including Counseling and Human Services; Leadership, Literacy, and Social Foundations; Human Kinetics and Health Education; Special and Early Childhood Education; and Teaching and Learning. As a former professor and chair of the Department of Professional Counseling and Human Services, as well as associate dean of the college, Swanson is known for innovative approaches to interdisciplinary education, change leadership, and an unwavering commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging within academia.

Ronald Werner-Wilson

  • Oct. 21, 4-5 p.m., 134 King Library
  • Oct. 22, 9-10 a.m., 322 McGuffey Hall
Ronald Werner-Wilson has been a faculty member at Western Michigan University, Colorado State University, Iowa State University, the University of Kentucky, and North Dakota State University. After a national search, he was named dean of the College of Human Sciences and Education at North Dakota State in June 2022. Following a university reorganization that included merging units from the College of Human Sciences and Education with the College of Health Professionals, he was named interim dean of the College of Health and Human Sciences after an internal search. The newly merged college included 2,853 久久热视频s, 127 faculty, 68 staff, a $21 million operating budget, and $9 million in extramural funding.
