Forbes lists Miami as one of America’s Best Employers for Women 2024

¾Ã¾ÃÈÈÊÓƵ is among the Best Employers for Women in the nation, according to a recently released list from Forbes.

recognizes the 600 companies that scored the highest in an independent survey. Forbes partnered with Statista, a research firm, for a survey of more than 150,000 women who worked at companies in the United States with at least 1,000 employees.

Miami is ranked No. 160 overall and No. 28 in the education industry. The university is in the top four education employers in the state of Ohio.

In April, Miami was listed No. 16 overall by Forbes for America’s Best Employers for Diversity. The university also appeared in the publication’s most recent list of America’s Best Employers by State, No. 12 overall in Ohio and No. 2 in the education industry.

“At the heart of Miami’s mission is a commitment to building an environment where our faculty, staff, and ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈÊÓƵs can thrive and grow,” Miami President Gregory Crawford said. “We will continue our work to cultivate workspaces that are equitable where employees feel a sense of belonging while providing an unparalleled educational experience for our ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈÊÓƵs.”

Survey participants were asked questions ranging from how likely they were to recommend current — and past — employers and how they’d rate their current employer on parental leave, pay equity, and more.

Rankings were compiled by combining research and survey responses into a scoring system. Data and responses by current employees carried more weight than information gathered previously. Responses from the previous three years were also considered.
