Access for All logoAccessibility plays an essential role in teaching classes and presents exciting opportunities for dynamic instruction. The annual Accessibility Symposium is designed to discuss current issues and trends in accessible technology and provide information about universal design and building accessible content for classroom and marketing materials. This event is free to anyone at Miami who is interested in learning more about ways to remove barriers to learning.

This year’s keynote speaker is Corbb O'Connor, the Director of Accessibility Advocacy at Level Access. O'Connor is a seasoned expert in digital accessibility within higher education. He has led teams that tested hundreds of websites, guided universities through Office for Civil Rights investigations, and developed websites using a variety of content management systems. Now a Director at Level Access, he consults with dozens of universities annually, helping them achieve and maintain digital accessibility standards. Upon his graduation from The George Washington University where he studied economics and political communication, O'Connor received the university's highest honor, which recognizes individuals for their exemplary contributions to the institution and its community. The title of O’Connor’s address will be "Accessibility: A Competitive Advantage for Higher Education".
